They purchased the car with noradio and no power steering and it still has no radio or power steering. Maryand Jack loved the 230 and the condition of this car is a tribute to them both.Mary was a very promanant school teacher in Maitland and everyone knew her inthe Dark Burgandy 230 Mary was my 6th Class school teacher in 1980 and I was the only person allowed to go and put her school books in the boot. The car iseverything I remember of it when I was 10, except now I get to drive it. The Mercedes it totally original, dash is not even cracked and it still has the factory chalk marks on the engine block. Its a beautiful in real life as it isin the photos with 84,000 miles on the clock. The mercedes must go to acollector, mercedes club member who will keep it garaged and in its current condition. It has 4 new tyres.
