1958 Saab A in Culgoa, VIC. CONTACT ME AT : warr.davidde@yahoo.com Up for sale is my 1958 MGA 1500 which I have owned for the last 34 years and it has traveled a genuine 92000 miles since new. I have traveled 11,000 miles since I purchased the car. The car was driven into my garage 13 years ago and has been sitting on blocks ever since. I was regularly running the motor but recently it would not start and I removed the plugs and noticed water in one of the cylinders, so it appears it has a leaking head gasket. Prior to it being stored it was in perfect working order with no issues with gearbox or diff. The previous owner had the engine rebuilt at 80,000 miles. The car and engine is stock standard with no modifications. The car has been repainted original red color some time prior to my purchase in 1982 and the finish is cracked in places. If the head gasket is replaced and other minor work carried out, I believe the car would be very usable as is. I intended to fix the head gasket and use the car on a regular basic but ill health has now forced the sale. The car is totally original and has not been restored and has the original vinyl seats in reasonably good condition. I believe there were two owners before me. The car is an original Australian deliver as the photo of the identification plate indicates. The car comes with a a brand new steering wheel, side curtains and soft top and some other spares.
