It all began when the first Corvette was shown in January 1953.Whilst essentially the same car was produced in 1954, there were only 300 unitsin '53 and they are now valued at more than twice the price of the 1954cars. These Corvettes were all built in fibreglass and fitted with the Chevrolet6 cylinder blue flame engine - 235 cu in.,150 bhp with triple Carter A Powerglide two speed automatic was fitted to all cars becausethere wasn't a strong enough manual available then. Weight distribution is53/47 per cent and the wheelbase length is 102 inches. This one is in theoriginal Polo white with red upholstery. A great looking car and in my opinion asafe investment - only 3640 were built in 1954.
