Description

1965 Holden Monaro in Tungamah, VIC. My eMail : jennings_alfie@xx...xx y a h o o .com 1972 HQ Kingswood/Monaro '73 four door Monaro.Colour Trim Variation in Yellow Dolly, believed to be the first HQ to wear the colour.Factory approved sunroof The rest is in the Vehicle Production Report from Holden Historical Services as pictured above, plus there is an interesting response from HHS to the previous owner that was published inAustralian Survivor Car magazine. It tells a little more about it.The suspensionis new, as well as the bushes and she handles very well. The engine and drivetrain in general is a gem. The High Compression 253 4 barrel puts out animpressive amount of torque, gears are smooth and the exhaust note is perfect. Ihave owned many older Holden V8s in my time, but this is by far the quietest, smoothest and most potent 253 I have driven. Not a 1/4 mile car by any means, but a lot of fun to drive and very responsive. The Monaro interior is in amazingcondition for its 45 year age. The only fault is a small tear in the Driversback rest. Inexpensive repair. It retains the original radio aswell. There are aset of GTS guards to go with it (sandblasted). The originals along the way and it wears standard guards at the moment. There aretwo sets of wheels to choose from aswell being the original Day 2 rims it cameout with from factory running on new Bridgestone Eagers, OR a set of GTS rims onnew Hankook tyres with wheel trims that are also in excellent condition.
